No expense was spared in the telling of this intricate and depraved tale of untold humiliations, heaped upon hedonistic excesses and forcefully blanketed with the wicked intentions and manipulations of excessively messed up, extraordinarily rich and certifiably insane family. This book, with it's clever twists, well developed characters, and highly imagined scenery will run you through the gamut of your emotions, from fear, anxiety, anger, outrage, fulfillment, anguish, hope and more, as you find yourself sucked into each character's torments and small victories.I'm not sure it would ever have occurred to me to wonder what it would feel like to be tortured, in sensitive areas, by the feel of an airbrush coating me in a decorative layer of false skin so my assets could be best displayed. Or how it would feel to breathe underwater, using experimental technology funded by the warped mind of a wealthy sexual deviant, while being teased by masked and anonymous divers at every turn. Or even how it would feel to be harnessed into a living carousel, for the amusement of others, while being forced to hold a "carrot" between my teeth. But these are the types of things that you will find in C.P. Mandara's lavishly depicted, extravagant world of debauchery, hedonism, duplicity, machinations and revenge.
Once the seeds have been planted, it is hard to keep them from growing. The author's inventive, creative imagination and knack for portraying sexual excess and taboo in such a highly detailed way that it brings reality to them and breathes life into them, will have you expanding the kink portion of your brain and stretching it to its limits.
I won't give away the ending of this dark and lusty tale, but I will say that the culmination of this series, rather than leaving you fulfilled and sated, will leave you begging for more of the same depraved, wicked, tortured treatment, at its masterful reins.

The preview for this whole series does not even come close to the sadistic, non-consensual sexual abuse that Jenny goes through. No safe word, no choice in anything that happens to her. The things that they do to her borders on abuse. Withholding food and water, physical torture.
The technical problema that should ha e been caught in editing are numerous and make it difficult at times to read.
I wouldn't recommend this series to anyone.
In The Ties That Bind, Jenny (a.k.a. Pretty Pink Petals) is transported in a cage to the eccentric artist/highest bidder at her auction. Upon arriving to the photo shoot, she quickly learns that no limits exist and she will soon be the star of two erotic tableaus; the first involves a pony girl carnival carousel and the second is a fantastical aquarium mermaid display. As promised by her trainer, Petal will be used in every way to fulfill the bidder’s fetish pleasure.
While Mark now comprehends the price of his prized pony, he carefully considers the proposal knowing there is more than money at stake. Biding his time, Mark centers his focus on a certain submissive and continues to teach her his preferences in obedience. Adding to his absolute and inherent dominance, Mark continues to take his meals in the most inventive and decadent ways.
Meanwhile, the forces at play against Mark and Jenny are escalating their plan and using every weakness available to manipulate and tip the outcome in their favor. While their plan is clear, their ultimate motivation remains to be unveiled. Knowing their identities just adds to the tension of what is to come.
As Mark’s plan to help Jenny is set into motion, the tide unexpectedly turns when Mark is called upon to fulfill his bargain. Preying upon his weakness, Mark is forced to face his fears and to protect those he cares about. Of course, Mark handles the situation like a boss!
With The Ties That Bind as the sixth and final book in this series, the plot has come full circle like a hot walker! Bloody hell! This series intrigued me from the beginning with its kinky pony play and dominant trainers. For some time, I wasn’t sure of the big picture but midway through the series, the pieces started to come together in a mysterious and calculated manner. To say I was surprised at the end game would be an understatement. Wow!!
C.P. Mandara’s writing style is both welcoming and stirring, as she introduces the reader to this elaborate world known as Albrecht Stables. The creativity and intricacy in the tableaus were exquisitely deviant. Moreover, the author successfully strikes a balance between kink and an intelligent plot with multi-dimensional characters. For those who have a very open (and naughty) mind willing to explore pony play and BDSM, I highly recommend this series!
I cannot wait for The Velvet Chair, which is a new series where Mark’s story will continue!

Honestly I'm surprised she's got more than 9 lives. Yes it's a stretch to think a character can tolerate even one of the scenes. This is a totally fan-tassy book, very entertaining and the author is extremely creative, colorful, and I can't fault it for anything. I'm looking forward to the next volume.
