I voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. I love bad boys who are tied to the mafia on these romances! Mirko is a mafia enforcer who assaults Karin dad because he owes the mafia. He wants information about his parents murder and he decides he will take Karin and trade her to the mafia for this. The two have instant chemistry and romance begins. This is a dark but good read.
The story is slow. It didn't capture and keep my attention at all. They way the author tried to write it just didn't grab my interest. I'm not believing that the two main characters actually love one another. Especially don't believe that the herione loves the hero...after all she's spent the whole book going on and on about how she detest bad boys but seems to always be attracted to them.

He’s a mafia man who is trying to figure out what really happened to his parents. She is his captive, daughter to a man he was supposed to “convince” to switch his business. This is a little dark and he is pretty rough and gruff at first, doesn’t stop them from being drawn together. My one complaint is when they are talking and there is a dash before the conversation instead of quotations, it’s very confusing for me. I would read more from this author!

Karin is the daughter of a man who the mafia wants his business. Marko was sent to convience him, but instead hears something from him regarding something personal to him. While her father is in the hospital Mirko takes Karin and thru his ways of persuation emotions of love come out. Hot sex always helps. What happens when the mob is involved? Does Mirko come true? Theres a HEA ending so you will have to read to find out how the hero becomes one.

Mirko is in the mafia. As the enforcer,is up to him to convince people to see things his way. When a man throws him off his game by bringing up the death of his parents, everything changes. Karin doesn't have a great relationship with her parents but when she gets word her father was hurt she rushes to his side. She is instantly attracted to the man that brought him in. That is until the guy kidnaps her. He planned to use her, not fall in love. But no matter what happened they couldn't fought it. When a psychopath takes her, he will do anything to save her. Even if she refuses to be with him ever again. Great read. Voluntary review of an advance readers copy.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Mirko ie a enforcer for the mob. He wants Ivanov to sell his business, so he beats him up so he will sale.. But Ivanov tells him something personal. It's about how, why and who knew his parents.Marek comes in and kicks in him the ribs. He's a psychopath, he wants to kidnap Karin, Ivanov's daughter so he will sale. Mirko takes Ivanov to the hospital where he stays and meets Karin .Marks see her leave the hospital. But Mirko gets to her first and kidnaps her. She fights him. But something changes and they become lovers. They make a deal with Fyodor. She gets mad at Mirko and walks home where Marek kidnaps her. Mirko recused her from Marek. They convince her parents to sell and leave the city.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by Leslie Knight. Thank you so much for such a good read.
